ABOUT THE FOUNDER OF MASTER FRAMERS

Roger Nielsen studied fine art painting at the School of The Art Institute of Chicago in the late 1950's and early 60's. He set his art career aside to raise a family and develop Master Framers, a business that has attained a national reputation. As owner, he became known for his expertise in creative frame design, production and restoration of picture frames. As a member of the Professional Picture Framers association, he was instrumental in establishing a certification program and developing uniform standards for archival framing methods.

You can find his frames in major museums, historical societies, and private art collections throughout the country.

Making Contemporary GoldTones

The beautiful GoldTone photography of Edward Curtis is faithfully produced by Cardozo Fine Arts, who implement the same photographic techniques invented by Curtis over a century ago. Master Framers, likewise, recreates the classic frames designed by Curtis himself, and we are proud to play a part in the continuing legacy of this innovative photographer.
